Grantley Bridge returning a large Salmon.

Enjoy a day with us on the river, fishing for the King of fish. Learn about their life cycle, try your hand at fly tying, join in with the fly casting tuition, using the Double Handed Salmon fly rods, or have a go with the Spinning rod. Alternatively check out our evening Sea Trout courses, with the chance of connecting with one of those acrobatic fish during the early hours. Both courses will include freshly made hot tea and coffee, and a waterside barbeque.

After years of passing the river on their way to fish for salmon in Scotland many of our customers are now recognizing just what a hidden gem Cumbria’s river Eden really is. Come along and enjoy The Complete Angling Experience in the garden that is Eden, we are sure you will not be disappointed.

The biggest salmon taken on our courses was a 20 pounder taken on the fly by Grantly Bridge, his first ever salmon. Following the success of our courses based at Warwick Hall, one of the premier beats of the river Eden many of our clients are re-booking their places, and in response to this demand we are staging some additional courses. We can cater for large numbers if specifically requested by customers, but we do try to keep the number of participants on these courses to a maximum of six thus ensuring a good degree of hands on individual tuition from our team of three fully qualified and insured angling instructors.

Whether you are an experienced angler or have never fished for salmon before we can tailor the day to suit your needs. A typical day includes learning a little about the salmon itself, how to read the river, an introduction to fly dressing, fly fishing tuition and demonstrations throughout the day for beginners, improvers or advanced casters, areas covered will include both floating and sinking line techniques, spinning and of course, plenty of salmon fishing. With three instructors we have the flexibility to change the itinerary to suit the requirements of the participants. If you have never fly fished before we can help you, if your double spey casting needs improving we can iron out those faults, if you want to concentrate more on your spinning techniques we can assist. All tackle can be provided at no extra cost. We have exclusive use of the beat and fishing hut on the day and a barbeque lunch as well as tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day are provided. You will also receive a DVD of the day, making this a day you really will remember.

We can arrange airport pick ups and accommodation as well as extended course’s over as many days as you wish and can also offer other options such as brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling or pike fishing as well as mixed species courses. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call to discuss your own personal requirements.

Another happy angler

Why not try out our Pike fishing trips. Not only will you be able to fish for Pike using conventional methods such as dead bait or lure fishing, but you can also tempt them with the fly rod. This is an exciting area of fly fishing that is fast growing in popularity, and is well worth having a go, as these hard fighting fish will give a good account of themselves on light tackle. Trips can be arranged from both boat or bank.
